Sadly, do many Christians serve God from the motivations of necessity,obligation rather than love and humility?

If one worships God because they wish to go to heaven or to avoid their harsh concept of hell, then they are not worshiping God at all. They are acting merely for selfish motivation which is completely alien to the teachings of Christ.
