Whats the best way to get over a break up?

well i was dumped by my girl friend and its been 10 days. Im having a really hard time with this..even harder than when i got a divorce. My girlfriend was my best friend. Is obvious that she is done. Ive tried talking to her and i have failed miserably. Any tips would be great...oh and i dont want to wallow in my self pity by drinking lol
